SUMMER DAY CAMP COUNSELOR

Hours: Monday-Friday - May 31-August 27, 2021 - 20-40 Hours Per Week
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Day Camp Counselors are required to implement programs designed for youth ages 5-12 enrolled in the YMCA Summer Day Camp program. This program is designed to provide direct supervision of a group of children through a variety of engaging activities and projects for both large and small groups specifically geared toward being outdoors. Camp staff will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of participants while they are enrolled in day camp both on premise and during field trips. This position requires that the camp staff participate in activities with enrolled children which can range from group games to assisting crafts. You must be energetic, dependable, patient and ready to have a fun summer.
Education Level Desired: Must be 18 years of age or older.

LEAD CHILD CARE TEACHER

Hours: Full-Time Hourly
Pay: $12.25-$13.25 per hour. Includes benefits and a YMCA Membership
Duties/Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Lead Child Care Teacher is to make a difference in the lives of children and families. Duties include: planning and implementing age-appropriate and exciting classroom curriculum that actively engages the children, keeping the children safe while building independent problem solving skills, nurturing the children through encouragement and gentle redirection, maintaining a clean, orderly and inviting classroom full of activity choices, and building relationships with their family members. Most important of all, candidate must love children and have a passion for teaching. This position requires creativity, flexibility, high energy levels, patience, strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and demonstrated success as a leader and a team player. Candidate must be able to observe/evaluate groups of children by sight, sound, and active interaction. Candidate must be able to easily move through all areas of the child care rooms and communicate effectively verbally and in written form with children and adults. Candidate must be able to routinely go up and down stairs, lift, carry and load equipment, furnishings, and program supplies (up to 50 pounds).
Education Level Desired: Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma and the ability to meet state requirements for education and experience as required by Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Candidates also must be 18 years of age or older.

ASSISTANT CHILD CARE TEACHER

Hours: Full-Time Hourly

Duties/Responsibilities: Working with the Lead Child Care Teacher, the primary responsibility of the Assistant Child Care Teacher is to make a difference in the lives of your children and families. Assistant Teachers are critical to the success of our child care program. You will assist the Lead Teacher in all aspects of the care of the children. This includes: implementing curriculum, actively interacting with the children, monitoring activities to ensure safety, nurturing the children through encouragement and gentle redirection, assisting in classroom set-up, clean-up and maintenance. YMCA PIED PIPER 4K ASSISTANT TEACHER

Hours: Monday-2 Hrs Weekly Prep; Tuesday-Friday 11:15am-3:15 pm
Pay: $9-$10 per hour
Duties/Responsibilities: *Hours are subject to change depending on the Marshfield School District calendar, and if needed to sub for morning assistant.
The assistant teacher is to assist in the delivery of the Marshfield School District’s 4K curriculum in conjunction with the 4K Teacher. The Pied Piper 4K has a specific curriculum determined by the Marshfield School District, and for this reason, the assistant teacher is responsible for aiding the 4K teacher in preparing activities, supervising children and delivering the curriculum to a class of up to 20 students. Each year assistant teachers are required to fulfill certain requirements in order to maintain state-licensed, child-care standards which include, but may not be limited to, documenting 15 hours of continuing education, maintaining up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications and completing Child Abuse and Neglect trainings. In the event that the 4K teacher is unable to come in to teach, the assistant teacher will be expected to fulfill the role for the day if he or she is licensed by the Department of Public Instruction.

HOUSEKEEPER (NIGHTS & WEEKENDS)

Hours: Part-time; averages 20-25 hours per week. Shifts vary week to week but generally M-F 7:00-11:00pm; S-S 6:00-10:00pm
Pay: $12.00 per hour. Includes a YMCA Membership
Duties/Responsibilities: The Nighttime Housekeeper will be part of the team responsible for the general cleaning of the YMCA facility including floors, carpets and windows. This staff member will also assist the Facilities Director as needed. The Nighttime Housekeeper must have knowledge or a strong willingness to learn how to use various types of cleaning equipment and chemicals. This staff member will be required to follow a strict sanitation schedule and checklist set by the Facilities Director. Self-motivation and attention to detail is a must.
Education Level Desired: Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Needed for Job: Housekeeping experience preferred.

LIFEGUARD

Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must maintain a safe aquatic environment according to the standards for certification. Additional facility-specific training will be provided upon hire. Must be willing to provide excellent customer service while staying vigilant and rescue-ready.
Education Level Desired: Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and must be at least 16 years old.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR

Hours: 4-20
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must enjoy children and have ability to demonstrate and instruct safe swimming skills, while upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility
Education Level Desired: WSI recommended. If not, certification will be provided.
Experience Needed for Job: Must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18, must possess current lifeguard certification.

GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR

Hours: Evenings, 1-2 classes per week
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Plan and instruct safe and effective group exercise classes using appropriate choreography, depending on class style.
Experience Needed for Job: One year of group instructing is preferred, certification in specialty format (Accredited Group Exercise, Zumba)
Specific Training Desired: CPR certified
