YMCA PIED PIPER 4K ASSISTANT TEACHER

Hours: Monday: 2 hours weekly prep. Tuesday-Friday: 11:15 am-3:15 pm.*
Pay: $9-$10 per hour
Duties/Responsibilities: The assistant teacher is to assist in the delivery of the Marshfield School District's 4K curriculum in conjunction with the 4K Teacher. The Pied Piper 4K has a specific curriculum determined by the Marshfield School District, and for this reason, the assistant teacher is responsible for aiding the 4K teacher in preparing activities, supervising children and delivering the curriculum to a class of up to 20 students. Each year assistant teachers are required to fulfill certain requirements in order to maintain state-licensed, child-care standards which include, but may not be limited to, documenting 15 hours of continuing education, maintaining up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications and completing Child Abuse and Neglect trainings. In the event that the 4K teacher is unable to come in to teach, the assistant teacher will be expected to fulfill the role for the day if he or she is licensed by the Department of Public Instruction. *Hours are subject to change depending on the Marshfield School District Calendar, and if needed to sub for morning assistant.

4 YEAR OLD KINDERGARTEN (4K) TEACHER

Pay: Salary: $16.00-$17.25 per hour.
Duties/Responsibilities: Marshfield Area YMCA in collaboration with the Unified School District of Marshfield is hiring a 4 Year Old Kindergarten Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. The salary offered to selected candidate will depend on the amount of relevant experience and qualifications of the candidate. Benefits Package Included. The 4 Year Old Kindergarten (4K) Teacher provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to encourage their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The teacher plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children following the Unified School District of Marshfield approved curriculum. Teacher must communicate regularly with parents outside of the normal classroom day by means of newsletters, emails, phone calls, conferences, etc.; Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports; Identifies pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals and develops strategies for individual education plans. The 4K Teacher will follow DCF regulations.
Education Level Desired: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education and hold DPI certification in ECE or related DPI Certificate.

SWIM INSTRUCTORS

Hours: 4-20
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must enjoy children and have ability to demonstrate and instruct safe swimming skills, while upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility
Education Level Desired: WSI recommended. If not, certification will be provided.
Experience Needed for Job: Must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18, must possess current lifeguard certification.

LIFEGUARDS

Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must maintain a safe aquatic environment according to the standards for certification. Additional facility-specific training will be provided upon hire. Must be willing to provide excellent customer service while staying vigilant and rescue-ready.
Education Level Desired: Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and must be at least 16 years old.

PRYME TIME AFTER SCHOOL TEACHER/ASSISTANTS/AIDS FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

Hours: Weekday Afternoons 2:30/2:45-6:00 pm
Duties/Responsibilities: Are you going to college or just looking for a part-time job in the Fall of 2018? Join our Afterschool staff to assist in implementing a child care program at local elementary schools. Ensure the safety of children and attendance, lead and help run programs designed to engage school-age children in physical activity, social activity and academic/homework, and promote a positive environment for all students and staff in attendance. Adherence to the WI Department of Children and Families standards for a state-licensed childcare facility is required.
Education Level Desired: Energetic and dynamic individual capable of supervising a group of children. Teachers and Assistants must be certified by the state of Wisconsin to provide care in a group child care setting. The YMCA will help train the right individual to meet these qualifications. The YMCA provides afterschool care at 5 elementary schools in the area - Grant, Lincoln, Washington, Nasonville and Stratford (Zion Lutheran Church.)

PERSONAL TRAINER

Hours: Part-time, may include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute to the overall YMCA mission of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Personal trainers are responsible for planning and leading customized individual or small group sessions for clients in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment. Personal Trainers are expected to provide excellent customer service, promote YMCA services and programs, and recruit clients.
Experience Needed for Job: A Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification is required. One year of experience in the health and fitness field is preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Specific Training Desired: Safety certifications for CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention must be acquired before an applicant can begin working. Training opportunities for these safety certifications are available through the Y.

GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR

Hours: Evenings, 1-2 classes per week
Pay: Based on experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Plan and instruct safe and effective group exercise classes using appropriate choreography, depending on class style.
Experience Needed for Job: One year of group instructing is preferred, certification in specialty format (Accredited Group Exercise, Zumba)

LEAD CHILD CARE TEACHER

Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay: $11-$12 per hour. Full benefit package included
Duties/Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Lead Child Care Teacher is to make a difference in the lives of children and families. Duties include: planning and implementing age-appropriate and exciting classroom curriculum that actively engages the children, keeping the children safe while building independent problem solving skills, nurturing the children through encouragement and gentle redirection, maintaining a clean, orderly and inviting classroom full of activity choices, and building relationships with their family members.
Most important of all, candidate must love children and have a passion for teaching. This position requires creativity, flexibility, high energy levels, patience, strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and demonstrated success as a leader and a team player. Candidate must be able to observe/evaluate groups of children by sight, sound, and active interaction. Candidate must be able to easily move through all areas of the child care rooms and communicate effectively verbally and in written form with children and adults. Candidate must be able to routinely go up and down stairs, lift, carry and load equipment, furnishings, and program supplies (up to 50 pounds).
Education Level Desired: Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma and the ability to meet state requirements for education and experience as required by Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Candidates also must be 18 years of age or older.

ASSISTANT CHILD CARE TEACHER

Duties/Responsibilities: Working with the Lead Teacher, the primary responsibility of the Assistant Child Care Teacher is to make a difference in the lives of your children and families. Assistant Teachers are critical to the success of our child care program. You will assist the Lead Teacher in all aspects of the care of the children.
