ADULT SPORTS: VOLLEYBALL SCOREKEEPER - Marshfield Location

Hours: Evenings - Monday-Thursday - 6:00-9:30 pm
Duties/Responsibilities: This position will run from September 27, 2021 – May 19, 2022. We need scorekeepers for multiple leagues. A variety of leagues offers great flexibility in scheduling.

Duties include:
• Scorekeeping/Refereeing – knowing the rules and enforcing sportsmanship and respect in the
Adult Volleyball League.
• Carrying yourself in a professional manner.
• Positive interaction with the league director, facility attendants, participants, and
spectators.
Education Level Desired: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

FACILITIES: HOUSEKEEPER (Nights & Weekends) - Marshfield Location

Hours: Part-time; averages 20-25 hours per week. Shifts vary week to week but generally M-F 6:30-11:30pm; S-S 6:00-10:00pm

Duties/Responsibilities: The Nighttime Housekeeper will be part of the team responsible for the general cleaning of the YMCA facility including floors, carpets and windows. This staff member will also assist the Facilities Director as needed. The Nighttime Housekeeper must have knowledge or a strong willingness to learn how to use various types of cleaning equipment and chemicals. This staff member will be required to follow a strict sanitation schedule and checklist set by the Facilities Director. Self-motivation and attention to detail is a must.

Duties/Responsibilities: The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, cardio equipment, lawn care, snow removal and other general building/facility maintenance or repair projects as needed. In addition, the assistant will help the Facilities Director as directed and will be responsible for the facilities when the director is not available.

Duties/Responsibilities: The Food Service Assistant will help with the preparation and serving of snacks and meals in our Youth Center. In addition, they will help with dishes and the cleaning of the kitchen. This staff member will also assist the Food Service Program Director as needed.

At the Y, we support members in achieving their personal wellness goals as a part of our commitment to improving the nation’s health and well-being. The Wellness Coach will deliver an exceptional member experience in the way we engage with members:
• Support members on their personal wellness journey to reach their goals and achieve healthy spirit, mind and body.
• Welcome members into an environment where they feel respected and physically and emotionally safe.
• Connect members to the people and resources that help them achieve their goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Build effective, authentic relationships with members. Welcome new members; greet and engage members and guests; conduct interviews.
2. Conduct new member wellness orientations, learn member’s wellness goals, and create and support an engagement plan that helps them achieve those goals. The engagement plan should include various Healthy Living Initiatives as deemed appropriate to the member’s goals including: Personal Training, Small Group Training, and Group Exercise; provide appropriate marketing and communication materials.
3. Employ approved wellness strategies that ensure participant’s health, safety, and well-being as they achieve their wellness goals.
4. Work closely with Personal Trainers, Group Exercise Instructors, and Yoga Instructors to provide best collaborative member experience.
5. Develop a good understanding of all the Y has to offer, help members build connections with all relevant program staff, and share the many reasons why the Y is So Much More!
6. Maintain a safe and clean environment in the Healthy Living and Strength Training Center. Stock resources in each area and enforce guidelines and safety rules. Inform Director immediately of any equipment issues or breakdowns, unsafe conditions or problems.
7. Monitor and enforce age restriction in centers. Make appropriate recommendations for those not meeting the age requirements.
8. Maintain a consistent presence in the Healthy Living and Strength Training Center and conduct frequent walk-throughs to be accessible to members and guests.
9. Support fundraising initiatives.
10. Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
Education Level Desired: High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least 18 years old. Experience in wellness coaching or wellness environment field preferred. Completed coursework (e.g. 2-year degree) or equivalent experience and education/certification in health and wellness, personal training, or related field is helpful. Training is available to the right person with a passion for the Y, health and wellness, and serving others.

Duties/Responsibilities: Inspire members and the community to reach new heights in their healthy living goals as you listen attentively to their needs, aspirations and fears, and customize a program to help them achieve more than they thought possible. SCHEDULE:
Part-time with potential to train full-time as you build your client base. Requires flexibility to work schedules that meet the needs of the clients at our Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA-Marshfield location.

1. Build collaborative relationships with members and community/corporate partners to promote individualized and group personal training services and other Y programs/services.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication skills.

- Understanding of exercise science and how it relates to working with “Health Seekers” of all ages and abilities required.
- Personal training sessions may call for you to demonstrate exercises (crunching, squatting, bending and moving), lift weights, and move/set up equipment up to 50 pounds.
Education Level Desired: - A current personal training or related certification accredited through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) is required. Must maintain required CEC’s and certifications throughout employment.

MEMBERSHIP: BUILDING SUPERVISOR - Marshfield Location

Hours: Part-time - Nights & Weekends
Duties/Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Member Engagement Coordinator, the Building Supervisor is responsible for engaging with and providing quality customer service to our members and guests. The person is responsible for opening and closing the YMCA, monitoring security procedures and facility operations in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures. Our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility must be exhibited in all aspects of work within the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to build relationships with our members and guests with a positive and pleasant personality.
• Ability to sell memberships; register members and participants for classes and programs, and provide guidance in relation to program offerings and activities.
• Applies excellent communication skills during phone calls and tours to understand prospects’ needs and create interest in YMCA membership.
• Maintains, and, when necessary, applies knowledge of the pool, healthy living center, strength training center, wellness center, and the rules and regulations of each area.
• Punctual for all shifts.
• Ability to supervise staff and volunteers.
• Oversee the buildings and grounds to ensure a safe environment that adheres to the safety standards and policies of the YMCA.
• Maintain CPR certifications and attend all mandatory meetings and trainings.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Complete incident and accident reports when necessary.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Monitor facility for safety and service interventions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Education Level Desired: EDUCATION LEVEL DESIRED/SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED training required within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, staff, member, guests, and participants.
• Must have a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
