The Marshfield Area YMCA has the following positions available:

Member Services Front Desk Staff

Hours: Primarily nights and weekends
Duties/Responsibilities: Greet members and guests. Answer phone. Scan and verify members as they enter facility. Sell memberships. Register members and participants for classes and programs. Retail sales. Building supervision as needed.
Education Level Desired: High School diploma preferred. Candidate must be 21 years of age.
Experience Needed for Job: Customer service experience preferred. Computer and cash handling experience helpful.

Nighttime Housekeeping

Hours: Rotating schedule: 8:30 pm - 1 am Monday-Friday and 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm Saturday & Sunday
Pay: $9.50 an hour
Duties/Responsibilities: Cleaning various areas of YMCA from a determined checklist on a nightly basis.
Education Level Desired: High School diploma preferred.
Experience Needed for Job: Housekeeping experience preferred.

Swim Instructors

Hours: 4-20 per week
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must enjoy children and have ability to demonstrate and instruct safe swimming skills, while upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility.
Education Level Desired: WSI recommended. If not certification will be provided.
Experience Needed for Job: Must be at least 16 years old. If under 18, must possess current lifeguard certification or water safety instructor certification.

Lifeguards

Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must maintain a safe aquatic environment according to the standards for certification. Additional facility-specific training will be provided upon hire. Must be willing to provide excellent customer service while staying vigilant and rescue-ready.
Education Level Desired: Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and must be at least 16 years old.

Grant School Pryme Time School Age Teacher

Hours: 2:30/2:45 - 6:00 pm
Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in implementing a childcare program at local elementary school. Ensure children's safety and attendance, lead and help run programs designed to engage school-aged children in physical activity, social activity and academic/homework, and promote a positive environment for all students and staff in attendance. Adherence to the Department of Children and Families standards for a state-licensed childcare facility is required.
Education Level Desired: Energetic and dynamic individual capable of supervising a group of children. Teachers must be certified by the state of Wisconsin to provide care in a group childcare setting. The Y will help train the right individual to meet these qualifications.

YMCA Pryme Time Afterschool Teacher Assistants

Hours: M-F 2:30/2:40 pm - 6:00 pm
Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in implementing a childcare program at local elementary schools. Ensure children's safety and attendance, lead and help run programs designed to engage school-aged children in social and physical activity, provide homework assistance, and promote a positive environment for all youth & staff in attendance. Adherence to the Department of Children and Families requirements for a state-licensed child care facility is required. The YMCA provides afterschool care at 5 area elementary schools - Grant, Lincoln, Washington, Nasonville and Stratford (Zion Lutheran Church.) This opening potentially at Grant School location.
Education Level Desired: Assistants must be certified by the state of Wisconsin to provide care in a group child care setting. The YMCA will help train the right individual 18 or older to meet these qualifications.
