CHILD WATCH

Hours: 8:00 am-11:00 am (2-3 days a week). Possible evenings 5:30-7:30 pm M-TH
Duties/Responsibilities: Provide care for children attending Child Watch while parent/guardian is working out at the YMCA.
Responsibilities include:
*Supervise and monitor children
*Maintain safety and cleaning standards
*Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies
*Maintain positive relations with children, parents, supervisor, and other staff
*Coordinate and arrange the Child Watch environment

FITNESS CENTER COACH

Hours: Part-time, may include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute to the overall YMCA mission of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Fitness Coaches are responsible for connecting with Y Members and participants in the fitness center and providing them with basic knowledge, direction, and support to accomplish their goals.
Education Level Desired: Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Needed for Job: Proper training and experience using a variety of cardio and strength training equipment preferred. Must have strong people/customer services skills and a passion for physical activity, health, and wellness.

GYM FACILITATOR

Hours: Part-time
Duties/Responsibilities: Following the YMCA's core values, the Gym Facilitator is responsible for promoting a positive environment that ensures the well-being and safety of our youth, members and guests while using the facility and its equipment. Along with supervising the use of the gym during open gym hours, the Gym Facilitator is responsible for overseeing sports leagues and classes for all ages.
Education Level Desired: Must be 21 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Needed for Job: CPR/First Aid certified (we will provide training if necessary); knowledge in skills and equipment; ability to instruct participants in sports techniques and lead sports leagues and classes.

NIGHTTIME HOUSEKEEPING

# of Openings: 1
Hours: Rotating schedule: 8:30 pm-12 am Monday-Friday and 4:30 pm-8:30 pm Saturday & Sunday
Pay: $12 an hour
Duties/Responsibilities: The Nighttime Housekeeper will be responsible for the general cleaning of the entire YMCA facility including floors, carpets and windows. This staff member will also assist the Facilities Director as needed. The Nighttime Housekeeper must have knowledge or a strong willingness to learn how to use various types of cleaning equipment and chemicals. This staff member will be required to follow a strict sanitation schedule and checklist set by the Facilities Director. Self-motivation and attention to detail is a must.
Education Level Desired: Must be 18 years or older. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Needed for Job: Housekeeping experience preferred.

ASSISTANT CHILD CARE TEACHER

Hours: Part-time Employment Available M-F 12:30-6:00 pm
Pay: $9-$10 per hour & FREE Family YMCA Membership
Duties/Responsibilities: Working with the Lead Teacher, the primary responsibility of the Assistant Child Care Teacher is to make a difference in the lives of your children and families. Assistant Teachers are critical to the success of our child care program. You will assist the Lead Teacher in all aspects of the care of the children. This includes: implementing curriculum, actively interacting with the children, monitoring activities to ensure safety, nurturing the children through encouragement and gentle redirection, assisting in classroom set-up, clean-up and maintenance. Most important of all, you must have a passion for working with children.
Education Level Desired: Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma and the ability to meet state requirements for education and experience as required by Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. We are willing to work with individuals that are in the process of completing their requirements or train the candidate. Candidates must also be 18 years of age or older.

PRYME TIME AFTERSCHOOL CARE TEACHER/ASSISTANTS/AIDS FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

Hours: Monday-Friday 2:30/2:45-6:00 pm *Willing to offer flexible schedules
Duties/Responsibilities: Are you going to college or just looking for a part-time job in the Fall of 2018? Join our Afterschool staff to assist in implementing a child care program at local elementary schools. Ensure the safety of children and attendance, lead and help run programs designed to engage school-age children in physical activity, social activity and academic/homework, and promote a positive environment for all students and staff in attendance. Adherence to the WI Department of Children and Families standards for a state-licensed childcare facility is required.
Education Level Desired: Energetic and dynamic individual capable of supervising a group of children. Teachers and Assistants must be certified by the state of Wisconsin to provide care in a group child care setting. The YMCA will help train the right individual to meet these qualifications. The YMCA provides afterschool care at 5 elementary schools in the area - Grant, Lincoln, Washington, Nasonville and Stratford (Zion Lutheran Church.)

SWIM INSTRUCTORS

Hours: 4-20
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must enjoy children and have ability to demonstrate and instruct safe swimming skills, while upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility
Education Level Desired: WSI recommended. If not, certification will be provided.
Experience Needed for Job: Must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18, must possess current lifeguard certification.

LIFEGUARDS

Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Must maintain a safe aquatic environment according to the standards for certification. Additional facility-specific training will be provided upon hire. Must be willing to provide excellent customer service while staying vigilant and rescue-ready.
Education Level Desired: Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and must be at least 16 years old.

GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR

Hours: Evenings, 1-2 classes per week
Pay: Based on experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Plan and instruct safe and effective group exercise classes using appropriate choreography, depending on class style.
Experience Needed for Job: One year of group instructing is preferred, certification in specialty format (Accredited Group Exercise, Zumba)

PERSONAL TRAINER

Hours: Part-time, may include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Pay: Based on Experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute to the overall YMCA mission of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Personal trainers are responsible for planning and leading customized individual or small group sessions for clients in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment. Personal Trainers are expected to provide excellent customer service, promote YMCA services and programs, and recruit clients.
Experience Needed for Job: A Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification is required. One year of experience in the health and fitness field is preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Specific Training Desired: Safety certifications for CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention must be acquired before an applicant can begin working. Training opportunities for these safety certifications are available through the Y.
